There's a little town 90 km.s to Ankara which amazed me with its commerce intelligence. I am talking about Beypazarı. So far, I had known their mineral water only, but this little town is much more than this, as what I saw today.
This little town of 30.000 inhabitants lays down on a valley where you can reach easily from Ankara in 1-1,5 hours. When you arrive in the center, you see a big open bazaar where ten thousands of people from other cities are shopping like crazy. Plus, today was an official holiday, so the crowd was much more than normal. Well, the town is also famous for its 'different' architecture and some tastes like tarhana, yaprak dolma, baklava (80 layers), carrot juice&delight, etc..
But what really attracted me was the commerce skills of these Beypazarı citizens. They are so natural, so welcoming..All male & female, young & old, kids & adults, everyone welcomes you to their 'open' shop. What they offer is so tasteful and natural, besides they are smiling and welcoming and inviting...They have used all the possibilities to turn into business. They don't have a very famous town, location, financial sources, etc, but they are attracting thousands of 'big city' citizens to come to their little town for shopping. They are still keeping mid-Anatolian traditions and creating a value added town with these traditions.
If you have a day off and if you are somewhere close to Beypazarı, just go and see what I mean. Actually this effort and success can be thought in universities as a commerce best practice. Considering the conditions of the town, they made a big thing. Congratulations.
