It's been a while that I haven't listed romania observations. A few more came up now, so better to keep them here instead of my mind. Again, please note that all of them are not unique for Romania, may be characteristics of any other countries as well.
- Romanians are definitely using one of the fastest internet in Europe. Download/upload speeds are really impressive. According to the sources, Romanian broadband connection is even in top 3 worldwide. Despite this fact, internet usage and online entrepreneurship is still at the beginning.
- 99% of the Romanians I have talked are hopeless about the country and the future. That's so apparent that you can see it on the most faces. It's something else than low salaries, crisis, political instability and corruption. Romania, being an EU member, is far ahead of many other countries, but you can not find a piece of excitement in most of the people. That obviously effects the way they live also.
- Old people living in the apartments are a bit suspicious and scared of the others. There were many times that I have faced with scared eyes of those people inside the apartment. I relate it to the old times before 89.
- Jeep drivers think that they are kind of the kings of the traffic. They never thank you back when you let them in front of you or never let you in front. At least the ones I have seen.
- Your electric consuming is measured once in 6 months and fixed during these 6 months. After these 6 months, it is measured again and your consumption is balanced. This is the first time I experience, do not know why they can not find the exact amount monthly.
- Some girls think that they are invited to Royal Palace ball when they are going out to a club. It looks like they are spending hours to get ready for a night club :)
- The country has one of the best hackers around Europe !
- Not my music type, but here one of the best house music is made. Probably after Holland, it's the 2nd most successful.
- It kept my attention that Romanians love signing themselves (cross) while passing through a church. I haven't seen any other Eu country which I have noticed that obviously. Well hope God helps them :)
